Audible Difference initiates Low Hearing Support Groups

Audiology Services Benefit Local Retirement Centers

May 28, 2000 - Veronica H. Heide, Audiologist with Audible Difference provides free Low Hearing Support groups in Madison Retirement Centers. "When I began my practice, I set aside a portion of my professional time for public and community service. I wanted to provide an informal way for consumers to gain access to information about hearing help in an informative and fun manner,"  says Ms. Heide.  Groups meet once a month and share experiences about hearing well and hearing challenges.  Information is provided to residents about options for hearing enhancement.  Referrals to their primary providers are provided when appropriate.  Ears are checked for excess ear wax and overall health.  Hearing aids are cleaned and minor service provided at no charge to residents.
